The Prostate Project at the Royal Surrey County Hospital worked with Martyn and Joanna for the first time this year. They introduced us to and organised the Surrey Three Peaks Challenge. The whole event was thoroughly enjoyable and went off very smoothly – from registering walkers to the marshalling on the day. Joanna even walked with us and encouraged us up those big hills !! We were so impressed we are doing it all again in April 2015.

This has been our first year working with Martyn and Jo and it’s been a great success. It’s opened up a whole avenue of events we could never have offered our supporters on our own and those who have taken up the challenge have given glowing feedback on Advocate Events. The Royal Surrey County Hospital’s Charitable Fund worked with Advocate Events for the first time in Spring 2014, what a fabulous team! Martyn and Jo put together a great Surrey 3 X Peaks for the charity which was hugely successful for us and enjoyed by all our participants – so much so that we are going back to do it again in April 2015. So confident am I in their professionalism that I have also tasked them with putting together a new event for us aimed more at our older (but nevertheless, just as active!) event participants. It is my pleasure to have been personally working with Advocate Events for the past year - and the association with GUTS goes back further. I have always found Martyn and his team to be very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.

Last year Martyn stuck his neck out to put on an untried event that I knew some of our supporters would enjoy - the Surrey Peaks Challenge. He researched and planned the route, walking the 26-mile course numerous times to carry out risk assessments and balance that with what would provide the most challenging and enjoyable route.

The day itself went very smoothly - the Advocate team were always on hand to ensure everyone stayed on course, had any help they might need to cope with the unexpected and - most importantly - keep our spirits up when the going got tough!

Over the years Advocates Events have proved to be an invaluable asset to our fundraising efforts by helping us to raise thousands of pounds at no risk or cost to the charity, so I am happy to recommend them.
